Maison Kachain
The art of soft architecture, born in Bangkok.
The Beginning
The objects we live with should carry the same care as the spaces they inhabit.
Maison Kachain was born in Bangkok from a conviction that everyday objects deserve the same care as fine art. Our founder, trained in French decorative arts and rooted in Thai textile heritage, set out to bridge two cultures through a single medium: the cushion.
What began as a small atelier has grown into a design house where each piece carries the weight of intention — the warmth of handcraft, the discipline of structure, and the quiet confidence of thoughtful design.
The Philosophy
Every cushion tells a story of structural grace.
True luxury lives in the quiet details — the weight of a fabric as it drapes, the precision of a stitch that holds form, the way afternoon light plays across a textured surface.
We design objects meant to age alongside their owners, growing softer and more beautiful with time. Not trends — traditions.
The Craft
Each piece begins as a pencil sketch — a conversation between proportion and possibility, refined through dozens of prototypes until the balance is perfect.
Design & Sketch
Hand-drawn proportions refined through iteration
Material Selection
Curated fabrics tested for drape, weight, and character
Artisan Construction
Cut, sewn, and assembled by hand over 3-4 weeks
Quality Inspection
Every stitch and seam examined before release
The Materials
We source only materials with provenance — each one chosen for its texture, durability, and the story of the hands that made it.
Organic Thai Cotton
Hand-woven by northern cooperatives using natural dyes and generations-old techniques.
French Linen
Stone-washed European flax with a relaxed drape. Grows softer with every wash.
Natural Latex Fill
Resilient, hypoallergenic support that holds its shape for years.
Silk Blend Accents
Mudmee ikat patterns unique to each bolt, giving every cushion unrepeatable character.
Every material can be traced back to the hands that grew, wove, or crafted it.
Our Values
Craftsmanship
Twenty pairs of hands touch every piece. We employ artisans, not machines — because the human irregularities are what make each cushion alive.
Sustainability
Fabric remnants become smaller accessories. Packaging is recycled kraft. The most sustainable product is one you never replace.
Design Heritage
French decorative arts meet Thai textile tradition — geometric precision with organic warmth, bridging two cultures in every pattern.
